Tilton is the leading apricot variety for freezing, drying and canning. One of the most flavorful of all apricots, these are tender and juicy with a sweet-tart flavor. The skin is light orange, the flesh is firm with a golden color and a red blush. The vigorous tree bears heavy crops and is resistant to late frosts. Blooms come very early, and fruit ripens in late June to early July. Self-pollinating and a great pollinator for other varieties.
