Product Description

A grand, sculptural specimen tree with branches to the ground, the European beech has extremely muscular, smooth gray bark, exposed roots, and glossy leaves. ´Red Obelisk´ retains a columnar outline, even with age, and its variously cut dark-purple leaves fade to greenish maroon by late summer. Wrap the trunk in the winter and plant in a location protected from harsh dry winds.
