| Description | A reliable shade groundcover with multi-seasonal interest. Lightly puckered black-burgundy foliage emerges early spring and grows 2-4 inches. As temperatures increase the foliage turns mahogany brown and darkens when temperatures lower in fall. Evergreen where winters are mild. 6-8" blue-purple spikes rise above the foliage in May. Re-blooms intermittently if spent flowers are sheared. Hardy to -40°F Maximum Elevation: 8,000 ft. |
