| Description | Haralson apples are predominantly red, with subtle green and yellow stripes underneath when they ripen in September to October. They have an excellent, distinctive, tart flavor, are very crisp and juicy, and keep well from harvest into March when stored under refrigeration. The apples are wonderful for both fresh eating and baking, and make great apple cider. Needs a pollinator. Hardy to -40°F Maximum elevation: 8,500 ft. |
