The Sweet Sixteen apple tree is a very cold hardy variety that bears medium-sized, red-striped apples with a crisp, juicy texture and exotic yellow flesh. This outstanding dessert apple has an excellent sweet, unusual flavor, like spicy cherry candy. Excellent for eating and cooking, stores for 5 to 8 weeks. It is a good all purpose apple that ripens in late September. Fireblight resistant, this tree bears heavily but can be slow to come into bearing.
