| Description | An extremely blue-leaved variety of Blue Avena Grass but with blades that become a bit wide as they mature. Sapphire resembles a miniature water fountain, with densely pack sprays gently arching upward and falling back to the ground at the tips. Delicate, upright, tan seedheads rise above the foliage in midsummer. Has good rust resistance. Adds a small coarse element to sunny perennial gardens. Hardy to -30°F Maximum Elevation: 6,000 ft
