| Description | This hardy bamboo has slender green stems with pronounced yellow grooves on opposing sides of the cane. Rigidly upright in most cases, occasionally a stem (culm) will develop abrupt crooks in it, causing a zigzag pattern at the base; giving it the nickname of "Crookstem Bamboo". Selective pruning can emphasize the effect and add distinct character to the culms. A running bamboo with strong vertical growth. Hardy to -20°F Maximum Elevation: 6,000 ft |
