It has very leathery, thick leaves which are most resistant to leaf pests.The branches have very strong wood to protect it from snow breakage. A good choice for parks and large open spaces.Typically this tree is available for sale in larger sizes. Protect newly planted trees by wrapping the bark in during the winter months.
