Excellent reclamation grass, especially for erosion control. One of the first grasses to green up in spring. Deep rooted with a fibrous root system that is very drought tolerant. Matures quickly in spring and goes dormant in the dry heat of the summer. An important rangeland species native to The Intermountain West at a many different elevations.
