| Description | A WATER THRIFTY shade tree with large dark green leaves that turn a rusty-red tint in fall. Branches are slightly arching, with a finer textured appearance than most elms. A University of Wisconsin introduction with high resistance to Dutch Elm Disease, elm leaf minor, and verticillium wilt. Prefers full sun and adapts easily to extremes in soil pH, moisture, heat and wind tolerance. A good tough tree for difficult conditions. Cold hardy to -30°F Maximum Elevation: 6,000 ft. |
