Elijah Blue Fescue (Elijahs)

This fescue is a low-growing, semi-evergreen, clump-forming ornamental grass with outstanding, icy blue color and fine texture. A dome-shaped, porcupine-like tuft of needle-like blades radiates upward and outward 6-8 inches. Purple-tinged, light green flowers appear on 10-14 inch stems in late spring to early summer, giving way to small seed heads. Elijah Blue is one of the best of the blue fescues. It likes full sun to achieve its signature blue color. Great for borders, rock gardens or in mass as a ground cover.
