Cabaret Japanese Silver Grass (Miscanthus)

Cabaret is a tall upright clumping perennial grass with slightly arching, rich green, broad blades that have conspicuous milky-white stripes down the centers. This fast, robust grower likes full sun to light shade and occasional to regular watering. Copper-colored plumes appear above the foliage in early fall, maturing to a cream color and holding with the dried foliage through the winter. A bold accent or focal point for the garden, this grass may be the boldest of all the variegated miscanthus.
