Product Description

Kieffer is a large, long, golden-yellow pear often with some crimson blush. Excellent for canning, baking, and preserves with its crisp, juicy, white flesh that is slightly coarse with a musky aroma and excellent flavor. An old-time favorite of pear lovers. Abundant fruit ripens in September to October on this hardy and blight resistant tree. Pick fruit before it is fully ripe and store in cold temperatures for several weeks before allowing it to fully ripen at room temperature. Pollinate with another pear tree.
