Never dazzling but attractive and almost carefree. Haze of small light yellow flowers in early spring attract bees. Requires a male plant in order for females to provide fruit for wildlife. I trim mine up a little to show the nice light gray bark and to under plant with other native shrubs. Yellow fall color is nice but not dramatic.
