| Description | A dwarf, dense spruce with soft short bright green needles. Grows slowly, about three inches of growth a year with an upright, broadly-pyramidal habit. Tolerates poor soils and is drought tolerant once established. However, soil should be kept moist in the heat of summer while establishing. Prefers some protection from dry winds when young but adapts with age. Also tolerant of filtered sun and light shade. Hardy to -30°F Maximum Elevation: 7,000 ft. |
