Chinese (aka Mormon) apricot is an early blooming, early bearing, heavy producing variety that is recommended for climates prone to late spring frosts. It is best to position this tree in a colder part of the yard to postpone blooming as long as possible. The fruit is small to medium, with yellow to orangish skin and flesh, and a sweet mild flavor. Thin fruit early in the season to maximize size and quality. Self-pollinating.
