| Description | A new cultivar that retains the beauty of traditional Redbud blooms while adding another dimension of interest with its gorgeous summer foliage. After the purplish-pink, sweet pea-like flowers are spent, rosy-peach leaves appear and turn tangerine for the summer and last into autumn before finally changing to yellow. Also distinct from other Redbuds is the tan bark, which has a yellowish cast and adds winter interest. Somewhat shrubby in youth but matures in a rounded habit. A perfect under story tree! Protect from wind and use an acidic compost when planting. Hardy to -20°F Maximum Elevation: 5,500 ft. |
